Kamen Staykov is a filmmaker based in Canada with roots closely tracing back to Bulgaria. He is a senior in the Film & Television program at New York University. His first short film, “The Last Audition”, screened at multiple festivals including the OSCAR qualifying 19th In the Palace Film Festival and the BAFTA qualifying Carmarthen Bay Film Festival. The film was also featured in Hollywood North Magazine for “Talent on Tap”. Kamen’s most recent film “My Grandpa Ivan”, shot in both Bulgaria and Canada, received funding from the Canada Council for the Arts and The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation.
